Night Always Comes has just added an impressive list of cast members joining Academy Award nominee Vanessa Kirby (Pieces of a Woman) in the upcoming Netflix thriller drama, based on the 2021 novel of the same name by Willy Vlautin.
Night Always Comes, which will mark Kirby’s latest project with the streamer, will be joined by an ensemble cast of Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Zack Gottsagen (The Peanut Butter Falcon), Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk), Julia Fox (Uncut Gems), Eli Roth (Inglourious Basterds), Randall Park (WandaVision), and Michael Kelly (House of Cards).
What to expect in Night Always Comes?
Kirby, who has recently been confirmed to be joining the new Fantastic Four movie as Sue Storm, will be playing a woman named Lynette in Night Always Comes. The upcoming thriller drama will follow the character as she embarks on a perilous 24-hour journey in order to make ends meet.
The book revolves around the anxiety-inducing adventure of Lynette, who’s in search of a better life and future for herself and her family while being forced to confront her past and the grim reality of her present along the way.
“Risking everything to secure a future for herself and her brother, Lynette sets out on a dangerous odyssey in Portland; confronting her own dark past over one propulsive night,” the film’s logline reads.
The upcoming feature is directed by Benjamin Caron (The Crown) and written by Sarah Conradt (Mother’s Instinct). In addition to starring, Kirby also produced the film alongside Lauren Dark for Aluna Entertainment. Additional producers include Square Eyed Pictures’ Benjamin and Jodie Caron and H2L Media Group’s Gary Levinsohn and Billy Hines. The film’s executive producers are Ryan Bartecki and Vlautin.
Netflix has yet to announce the release date for Night Always Comes.
