Julia Fox Joins Cast of Monkeypaw’s Sporting Horror Movie Goat

Uncut Gems star Julia Fox has joined Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers in sporting horror movie Goat from Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions.

Julia Fox Plays Ball With the GOAT

Julia Fox is a bestselling author of Down the Drain, but is best known for starring opposite Adam Sandler in the Safdie Brothers’ cinematic anxiety attack Uncut Gems. She’s also a two-time collaborator with Steven Soderbergh having starred in No Sudden Move and his new thriller Presence.

Justin Tipping, who had previously been reported as Jordan Peele’s choice for director, is in the chair for Goat

Goat is an acronym for Greatest of All Time (a term often used for sporting greats). The film is about a promising young football player who gets called up to train with the soon-to-retire star player (played by Wayans). Given the psychological thriller tag, it’s a safe bet it won’t be a warm and fuzzy sports movie about legacy.

Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions bought a pitch for the psychological thriller from Limetown creators Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie last year. They were subsequently confirmed to be writing the script.

Goat will be produced by Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, and Jamal Watson, with executive producers David Kern and Kate Oh.
