Barbie Breaks Critics Choice Record With 18 Nominations, Full Nominee List Revealed

It’s a Barbie World at the Critics Choice Awards. Barbie leads the nominations for film at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards with a record-breaking 18 nominations. The previous record was held by Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Shape of Water with 14 nominations.

Barbie was nominated in nearly every major category, including Best Picture, Best Actress (Margot Robbie), Best Supporting Actor (Ryan Gosling), Best Supporting Actress (America Ferrera), Best Director (Greta Gerwig), and Best Original Screenplay (Gerwig & Noah Baumbach).

Oppenheimer received 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), and Best Actor (Cillian Murphy). Poor Things also received 13 nominations, including Best Actress (Emma Stone) and Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos).

The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards will air live on January 14, 2023, on The CW. Chelsea Handler returns as host.
