James Gunn Reveals His Favorite Video Game, Talks Batgirl, Krypto, & Batmite

DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn is at it again, as the director tweeted out plenty of new tidbits about the DC Universe and even revealed his favorite video game of all time.

One Twitter user asked Gunn if he liked Krypto — Superman’s dog who was the main character of last year’s DC League of Super-Pets. Gunn responded saying he didn’t like Krypto: he loves him.

Another user said that Gunn has mentioned his favorite Batgirl being Cassandra Cain — the originally mute daughter of assassin Lady Shiva with a very distinct Batgirl mask that covers her entire face. Gunn responded by saying it’s a toss-up between Cassandra and Babs — Barbara Gordon — though he views Cassandra and her mask as “very cool.”

The suitably named user “Batmite stan” asked Gunn if Bat-Mite, the magical imp Batman fanboy, would be the main character of Chapters 1-6 of the DCU. The Co-CEO wistfully replied, “Only in my heart.”

Finally, when asked about his thoughts on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the 2003 role-playing video game, Gunn revealed that it’s his “favorite game of all time.”

The DC Universe’s first phase, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a multitude of different movies and television shows. A few of the announced projects include a Batman and Robin-focused movie called The Brave and the Bold, a Supergirl movie titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a Swamp Thing film, and multiple TV shows.
