Christoph Waltz, Lilly Collins & Bill Skarsgard team up for Gilded Rage
According to Deadline, Christoph Waltz, Lilly Collins and Bill Skarsgard have joined the dramatic thriller Gilded Rage from producer Jake Gyllenhaal and director Charlie McDowell.
Written by McDowell and Justin Lader and based on a 2015 Vanity Fair article of the same name by Benjamin Wallace, the film follows the true-life tale of a Manhattan hedge fund magnate Thomas Gilbert Sr., who was murdered by his son Tommy — a brutal crime that shocked New York high society. Tommy recently received a 30 years-to-life in prison sentence for the crime.
XYZ Films is producing with Riva Marker and Gyllenhaal via their Nine Stories banner, Jeremy Steckler, and Conde Nast Entertainment, while Hunter Ryan and David Ryan are serving as executive producer.
Waltz is best known for his Oscar-winning performances in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained, and will reprise his role as Bloefield in the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die.
Skarsgard recently appeared in the box office hit It: Chapter 2 as well as the JJ Abrams produced Castle Rock TV series on Hulu.
Collins is currently filming the TV series Emily in Paris, and recently starred in Tolkien and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
