Ae Watan Mere Watan Cast: Emraan Hashmi First Look Poster Revealed

Emraan Hashmi‘s highly anticipated role in Ae Watan Mere Watan was finally confirmed, and recently, the makers dropped his character’s first-look poster. Kannan Iyer is directing the movie, while Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra are producing it under Dharmatic Entertainment. It also stars Sara Ali Khan, Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’Neill, and Anand Tiwari, among others.

The movie is set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement of 1942 and showcases a pivotal chapter in India’s struggle for independence. Ae Watan Mere Watan will be available to stream on March 21, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video.

Emraan Hashmi looks unrecognisable as Ram Manohar Lohia in Ae Watan Mere Watan

On Monday, March 11, 2024, the makers of Ae Watan Mere Watan revealed another poster from the movie. This time, it featured actor Emraan Hashmi in black-rimmed glasses, a khadi jacket, and a Nehru cap, looking almost unrecognizable.

The actor is known for his versatility, but his never-before-seen avatar in the first look from the movie shocked fans. His character looks determined in the fight against the British rule in India. He is seen clenching his fists during an anti-Britain protest.

Emraan Hashmi is portraying Ram Manohar Lohia in the upcoming movie. Ram Manohar Lohia was an activist during the Indian independence movement and a socialist political leader. During the final phase of British colonialism in India, Lohia was working with the Congress Radio.

In the collaboration post with the actor, Prime Video India wrote, “Channelling the fearless voice of independence! Ae Watan Mere Watan on Prime Video on March 21.” The actor also took to Instagram Stories and shared a picture of Ram Manohar Lohia, confirming his role in the movie.
