Fight Club, one of the highly anticipated Tamil films, hit theaters today, December 15, 2023. Additionally, the movie makers also decided to make this movie available for digital streaming platforms. The film is directed by Abbas A. Rahmath, with Govind Vasantha of 96 fame composing the music.
Presented by the writer-director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Fight Club features Vijay Kumar in the lead role. The film takes its name from David Fincher’s iconic movie, Fight Club. Vijay, a promising talent in Kollywood, initially gained acclaim with his debut film, Uriyadi, winning the hearts of numerous fans. Now, he is set to make his mainstream debut in the intense action drama.
In Fight Club, the narrative centers on Selva, a college student aspiring to be a football player. Concerned about his future due to missed opportunities, Selva’s story intertwines with that of Joseph, an ex-prisoner seeking revenge on the politician Kiruba. Both characters’ paths run parallel, haunted by their pasts and risking their lives.

Reportedly, the movie’s makers have inked digital streaming and satellite deals before its theatrical release. Additionally, Fight Club’s satellite rights have been sold to Vijay TV.

Sources suggest that the movie is expected to start streaming on the OTT platform approximately five weeks after its release. This availability for online viewing is anticipated to begin in the last week of January 2024.
For those unfamiliar, a special screening of this movie was arranged by the makers in Chennai on December 13, 2023. Numerous stars from Kollywood were invited to attend and watch the film. Following the premiere, the movie has been receiving positive reviews along with appreciative feedback.
