Of the films Shock caught at the American Film Market this year, Tom Shankland’s The Children was our favorite and we’ve got a preview of this relentless horror film that does harm to parent and child alike. Vertigo has sent us fifteen hi-res stills which you can view by clicking on the blood-splattered tyke below.

Based on a story by Paul Andrew Williams – and starring Rachel Shelley, Stephen Campbell Moore, Eva Birthistle and Jeremy Sheffield – Children is set on New Years Eve. What should be a relaxing vacation for two families coming together to celebrate the holidays, ends up as a desperate fight for survival, as one by one the children mysteriously fall ill and turn against their parents with horrifying consequences.

The Children opens in the UK on December 5th.
