Has The Creep Tapes Season 3 Been Canceled or Renewed?

The Creep Tapes, based on Patrick Brice’s 2014 film and its sequel starring Mark Duplass, is nearing the end of its second season. This has fans wondering whether the found footage horror television series will return in the future. Here is everything you need to know.

Has Shudder canceled The Creep Tapes or renewed it for Season 3?

As the second season of The Creep Tapes draws to a close, fans are increasingly curious about the possibility of a third season.

The Creep Tapes will return for a third season, as announced back in October. While the series has not received the same level of critical acclaim as the two films, which are considered standouts within the genre, it has still drawn solid viewership. This performance ultimately led to its renewal.

The third season of The Creep Tapes is expected to premiere sometime in 2026. However, an exact release date has not been announced. The first season premiered on November 15, 2024, followed by the second season on November 14, 2025. If the series continues with a similar release pattern, Season 3 could arrive in mid-November 2026.

Following the structure of the first two seasons, the third season is also expected to use the same format. It will continue exploring tapes pulled from the vault of one of the world’s deadliest killers.

Mark Duplass is expected to return as the titular Creep in Season 3. As with the original films, Duplass remains the central figure and driving force of the series.

The official synopsis reads, “A serial killer lures videographers into his world with the promise of a paid job documenting his life. As the tape rolls, the killer’s questionable intentions surface through his increasingly odd behavior.”

More details about The Creep Tapes Season 3 are expected to be announced in the coming months.
