General Hospital’s Van Hansis Teases ‘Trouble’ for Lucas & Marco

Love is never straightforward in Port Charles, and Lucas Jones is about to learn that the hard way on General Hospital. Lucas finally seems to have found happiness with Marco, and things are going great.

Unfortunately, Van Hansis, who plays Lucas, is teasing that this happiness won’t last long.

Van Hansis discusses what’s ahead for Lucas and Marco on General Hospital

Van Hansis said he wasn’t shocked to hear that Marco’s prince-charming image might come with some strings attached.

It’s kind of expected on a soap that there’s going to be trouble in paradise,” he said, adding that the writers keep story arcs a secret, even from the actors.

He knows Marco is tangled in his father Sidwell’s business than Lucas has any clue about, but beyond that, he’s totally in the dark. Hansis said he honestly doesn’t know if Marco is playing Lucas or if he actually loves him for real, which makes the storyline even more interesting.

Hansis teased that the calm won’t last long, hinting that a huge plot twist is on the way. “Something big is going to happen,” he shared, admitting he’s just as clueless as the fans glued to the screen every day. (via Soaps.com)

The tension between Lucas and Carly is only making things more complicated. Carly is furious that Lucas agreed to move into Wyndemere, and the whole situation has turned into an ugly fight. Hansis even admits he agrees with Carly in real life, saying it was a “terrible idea.”

On the other hand, Lucas is still reeling from what happened with Brad. Instead of hearing Carly out, he drags up her past with Sonny, tossing it in her face instead of actually listening.

Lucas isn’t ready to let Carly off the hook just yet. Their run-in at the Metro Court on Nov. 20 made that crystal clear. Carly tried to smooth things over. However, Lucas shut her down fast and made it clear there’ll be fallout if she keeps resisting.

Luckily, he’s got Ava with him.  What Lucas doesn’t know is that Sidwell had Dalton killed. Hansis also says this whole storyline feels similar to an Agatha Christie mystery.

Right now, Lucas thinks life on Spoon Island is calm, totally unaware that a storm is brewing. Coming up, some weird stuff starts to happen,” Hansis teased.
