Paramount Plus’s new TV and movie releases for September 8-14, 2025, include The Wedding Banquet, Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout and The Reunion.
On September 8, Monday, The Wedding Banquet arrives on Paramount Plus. Andrew Ahn directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with James Schamus. The story follows Min, who becomes frustrated with his commitment-phobic boyfriend, Chris. This frustration prompts Min to propose a green card marriage with their friend Angela in exchange for Angela’s partner Lily’s expensive in vitro fertilization treatments. However, Chris and Min’s elopement plans are altered when Min’s grandmother surprises them with a lavish Korean wedding banquet.
On September 9, subscribers can check out Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout on Paramount Plus. The documentary chronicles the overnight fame of 21-year-old William White, who gained attention for a lip-synching video he shared on TikTok. He sparked a “thirst trap” obsession among fans, which eventually escalated into a toxic situation where they turned against him.
On September 12, The Reunion Season 1 premieres on Paramount Plus. This gripping drama series originally aired on BBC One in April. Created by William Mager and starring Matthew Gurney, the story follows Daniel Brennan, a deaf man who, upon being released from prison, finds himself ostracized by his friends and family. Brennan embarks on a quest to uncover answers for his imprisonment, but his journey becomes complicated when he reunites with his estranged daughter, Carly.
Also arriving on Paramount Plus this week is the film Personal Shopper.
Personal Shopper is a drama-thriller starring Kristen Stewart. The story follows Maureen, a personal shopper for a media celebrity, who, after arriving in Paris, is contacted by a mysterious person via text message.
