Shortly after the podcast aired, Kelce revealed in a Wall Street Journal profile that he received “an unbidden assist” from someone close to Swift. “There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was,” he said. “I had somebody playing Cupid.” Swift later texted Kelce, and their private conversations began in early August.
In an August 2 video, Kelce gave vague responses about his attempt with the bracelet, prompting speculation.
