End of Watch follows LAPD officers Brian Taylor and Mike Zavala. A Mexican-American curbside gang targets Brian and Mike while they are on patrol in a high-crime area of the town. Both officers were awarded the Medal of Valor as they rescued children from a burning house as they encountered the main villains of the curbside gang. The officers have some great times as Brian gets engaged to his girlfriend, Janet, and Zavala welcomes their first child. However, duty called, and the officers reported to investigate the Sinaloa Cartel case. Little did they know that their wellness check on an elderly woman, their discovery of large amounts of heroin and dismembered bodies, and a message from the cartel would lead them to a final shootout where one of the officers sacrifices their life to protect the other.
