Will John Krasinski return in A Quiet Place: Day One?
John Krasinski is not confirmed to return in A Quiet Place: Day One.
As the title suggests, A Quiet Place: Day One shows us how the world reacted to the alien invasion. 2020’s A Quiet Place Part II showed us a bit of “Day One” events from the Abbott family’s point of view. But the latest prequel shows us how the rest of the world went quiet.
The above trailer shows a few flashback shots involving Krasinski’s Lee Abbott. But he isn’t confirmed to return in the final cut of the film. Even if the movie jumps to present-day events and ties in with A Quiet Place Part II, Lee Abbott won’t be back since he died in the first movie.
Krasinski hasn’t directed this installment of the franchise, and it was helmed by Michael Sarnoski. But Krasinski is still attached as one of the producers and the script is also based on his original story.
Will Emily Blunt return in A Quiet Place: Day One?
Emily Blunt isn’t confirmed to return in the A Quiet Place: Day One spinoff. But she could surprise the audience with a cameo to set up A Quiet Place Part III.
With the film being a spinoff prequel introducing new characters, it isn’t likely for Evelyn Abbott or any of her family characters to return. But if the film ties into A Quiet Place Part II, then her character could make a cameo towards the end to set up Part III. It’s also possible for Evelyn’s daughter Regan to have a cameo in ‘Day One’.
But establishing a connection to the previous two movies through the Abbott family isn’t necessary as the latest outing already does that with Djimon Hounsou’s Man on the Island. Besides him, it stars Lupita Nyong’o as Sam, Joseph Quinn as Eric, along with Alex Wolff and Denis O’Hare in major roles.
