The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie got a huge opening on Peacock and at the box office. Fans of the video game series have shown great support and enjoyed the multiple easter eggs sprinkled throughout the film. But did Sparky The Dog also appear in the FNAF film? Here’s all you need to know.
Is Sparky The Dog in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie?
The FNAF film included a Sparky The Dog easter egg in the live-action film, seemingly proving the dog’s existence.
With the release of the Five Nights at Freddy’s game in 2014, a rumor about a sixth animatronic character, Sparky the Dog, spread like wildfire. Various fan sites reported about the one-armed dog, and screenshots of Sparky’s presence in the first game were also posted on Tumblr. Apparently, it could be seen in multiple distant shots but did not attack the players as other animatronics did.
However, it was eventually revealed by the creators of the horror game that the images posted online were doctored. Sparky isn’t supposed to exist in the games. But the latest FNAF film directed by Emma Tammi has even brought the fake hoax to life!
Along with multiple surprising cameos, 2023’s FNAF also featured several easter eggs for fans of the game to pick up. One of those was a Sparky the Dog suit. It was spotted exactly where the hoax originated, in the Parts and Service room. To add to that, the menu at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria also featured Sparky’s Dinner as a dish.
So, whether Sparky exists in the games or not is debatable. But it is totally real in the movie’s universe and could even appear in a potential sequel.
When does Sparky The Dog Appear in the Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie?
The Sparky the Dog easter egg can be spotted when Mike runs away after noticing the bodies of Max and her thug gang.
Towards the beginning of the third act, Mikey can be seen in the Parts and Service room. Right after he escapes his death, he spots the dead bodies of Max and her gang at 1 hour 19 minutes. Amidst the bodies, the suit of the one-armed Sparky can also be seen.
