The Quarry Haunts Summer Game Fest With Launch Trailer

The Quarry releases in less than 24 hours, but 2K couldn’t pass up the opportunity to showcase their new horror narrative at the Summer Game Fest. Geoff Keighley introduced a Hollywood-esque launch trailer that showcases the group of nine campers facing off against the horrors of the night. The game’s cast features Ted Raimi, David Arquette, Ariel Winter, and more.

It’s proper that The Quarry‘s last trailer features a movie quality, because players can choose to watch or play through the game’s story. In addition to the story choices that fans of Supermassive have come to expect, there’s also a Movie Mode that turns the game into a “binge-worthy cinematic thriller.” Of course, this mode will only reveal a small fraction of the many narrative twists and turns possible with more traditional play.

The Quarry works great as a nighttime treat for a single horror fan, but it also supports multiplayer on a massive scale. Players online or on the couch locally can vote on story decisions, creating a collaborative horror experience that’s unique to this new release.

The Quarry is out on June 10 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. Those who upgrade to the deluxe edition can grab some 1980s-themed cosmetics for the cast and a set of visual filters that harken back to horror movies of the past.
