MultiVersus Free Battle Pass

MultiVersus Gives Free Battle Pass to Returning Beta Players

Player First Games has revealed that open beta players who return to MultiVersus when it relaunches next week will get the Season 1 premium Battle Pass for free. The developer also revealed changes to the structure of the upcoming Battle Passes, as well as updates to the game’s currencies.

How to get the free MultiVersus Season 1 premium Battle Pass

The free Battle Pass will be available to all returning players from Open Beta who log in to the game by June 11. Those who can’t log in to the game until after that date won’t miss out completely, though. All returning Open Beta players will get the special edition Snow Suit Finn commemorative character variant, a special edition Rising Stars ringout, and a special edition Banana Guard announcer pack when they log in to the game for the first time.

There are also bonuses for all players who complete the new tutorial. Doing this will unlock a free seven-day reward calendar that includes the new Banana Guard from Adventure Time character. If all seven reward days are completed, this will unlock the Lady Banana Guard character variant.

Changes have been made to the structure of the free and premium Battle Passes. Battle Passes will now last for eight weeks. Those who finish the Battle Pass before that can repeat the final tier for even more rewards.

There are now more high-value item rewards, such as more ringouts, character variants, taunts, and currency. For example, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th is the first premium reward. Gleamium can also be earned through both passes, with the premium path offering enough of the currency to be able to purchase the next Battle Pass.

Talking of in-game currency, those who unlocked Gleamium, character tokens, and Battle Pass tokens in the open beta will find they are all still available to spend in-game. Players will not be able to earn new character tokens or Battle Pass tokens, however, as these will be replaced with other currencies. Gold has been discontinued completely. Those with outstanding Gold will get exclusive commemorative cosmetics that “correlate to a player’s Gold earned during Open Beta“.

Fighter currency will now unlock new characters, while Perk currency can be used to unlock perks. Both of these can be earned through events, Rifts mode gameplay, the Battle Pass, Account Mastery, and Character Mastery.

The final new currency is Prestige currency, which will unlock the rarest cosmetics in the game. For each in-game cosmetic item a player acquires, they get an amount of Prestige currency based on its type and rarity. Returning players will get Prestige currency automatically based on the cosmetics they unlocked during the beta.
