Just Like Us will follow the story of a widower who takes in his teenage El Salvadorian niece while still raising his two grown daughters, retired parents and running the restaurant he started with his late wife.

The comedy is written by Wolfe, a Salvadoran-American. Marc Provissiero of Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment along with Wolfe and Kellett will co-executive produce the show with Kellet producing through her Glo Nation banner. Sony Pictures TV is the show’s studio.

Wolfe and Kellett both work together on the award-winning family sitcom One Day at a Time which was renewed by Netflix for a third season earlier this year. The show is a hilarious and heartfelt comedy that follows three generations of a Cuban-American family sometimes-reluctantly cohabitating and navigating the ups and downs of life. One Day at a Time season one and two are available for streaming at Netflix.
