Among Us TV Show in Development at CBS Studios

An Among Us TV show, based on the immensely popular video game, is now in development at CBS Studios.

Variety has reported that CBS Eye Animation Productions has teamed up with independent game development studio Innersloth to create an Among Us animated series for CBS Studios. Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis is set as series creator and executive producer while Titmouse, which has worked on programs like Big Mouth and Royal Crackers, will be animating the series.

Other executive producers include Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Among Us developer Innersloth as well as Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina for Titmouse. No streamer or network is attached to the series at this time, though talks involving that are currently underway.

What do you do in Among Us?

“Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone,” reads the game’s official description. “Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”

Among Us was originally released in 2018, though the game’s explosive popularity came in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The game puts multiple players in the role of crew members on a spaceship, with one player serving as a murderous “imposter” whose goal is to kill the other crewmates in secret before they are discovered and jettisoned from the ship.
