Following the announcement earlier this month that Ashton Kutcher is set to play the title role in the Steve Jobs biopic Jobs comes word, through Variety, that “Book of Mormon” star Josh Gad is up for the role of Steve Wozniak.
The biopic will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) with a screenplay by Matt Whiteley. The film is said to begin with Jobs’ early days as a hippie and then follows his path to becoming one of the world’s most respected tech pioneers and businessmen.
Beyond his Broadway success in the Trey Parker and Matt Stone musical, Gad recently signed on to provide a voice in a the upcoming DreamWorks Animation project Me & My Shadow.
