The ‘Cloverfield’ Marketing Has Me ‘Furious’!

As I said in my article yesterday about Cloverfield / 1-18-08 / Monstrous / Untitled J.J. Abrams Project I am tired and bored with all this delayed marketing all for a name. Now I don’t say this as someone who is anticipating the name any longer. I saw this as someone that has to continually write articles about the movie to inform you, the readers.

So, when Paramount starts sending out this latest batch of one sheets with random words on top of the poster it just makes me beg for it all to stop. So, in an effort to thwart their efforts I have not only provided you with a teaser look at the two posters that are featured on Ain’t It Cool News and Bloody-Disgusting I have made three posters of my own, which are featured below.

Now for my bit of fun…

Is it possible the marketing for this film will match the marketing of Snakes on a Plane and ultimately end up with the same result? It would be a shame if all this hype resulted in a film that only ended up being a major let down.

I honestly hope the hype is worth it because I like J.J. Abrams and even though he is only producing this pic I have my hopes out that it will be good.
