Comment From MarvelWatch

Also present, according to Fox’s twitter, are stars/talent from the ‘Maze Runner’ films and ‘Victor Frankenstein. ‘

5:27

ComingSoon.net: Thanks!

5:42

EDouglasCS: Hello! I’m here and hopefully the security people will stop hassling me

5:44

Comment From WolfWood37

So what are the odds Ryan Reynolds goes out there in full Deadpool gear?

5:44

EDouglasCS: I would say 75% chance?

5:46

EDouglasCS: Okay they’re starting

5:47

EDouglasCS: They’re starting with Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

5:47

EDouglasCS: Hosted by Chris Hardwick.

5:48

EDouglasCS: I wonder if they’ll one up the side screens again. Probably not

5:49

EDouglasCS: They’re going to show the new trailer for Scorth Trials

5:51

ComingSoon.net: Just a reminder. Ed has to close his laptop when footage is shown. He’ll be back in a few.

5:52

EDouglasCS: First trailer looks great. A lot of the footage is the same as CInemaCon but definitely more

5:52

EDouglasCS: I can’t list all the people coming on stage

5:52

EDouglasCS: They say the names way too fast

5:52

EDouglasCS: Rosa Salazar

5:52

EDouglasCS: Dylan O’Brien

5:52

EDouglasCS: James Dasher (the author)

5:52

EDouglasCS: Director Wes Ball

5:52

EDouglasCS: Giancarlo Esposito

5:53

EDouglasCS: Footage looked great, starting with them escaping from the maze and being taken by helicopters to a facility. The virus has gotten under control and they’re brought their for protection but Thomas doesn’t think the people who are who they say

5:54

EDouglasCS: Ball and O’Brien is talking about how things have changed after they got out of the maze and that he’s crushed with guilt after what happened in the previous movie

5:54

EDouglasCS: He feels responsible and thinks he didn’t lead them to the right place

5:54

EDouglasCS: The trailer shows them escaping from the facility out to The Scorch which are huge sand dunes with dilapidated buildings

5:55

EDouglasCS: Aidan Gillen plays a huge part in the trailer as he seems to be the main bad guy as Janson the head of the facility

5:55

EDouglasCS: Ki Hong Lee is there as is Thomas Brodie-Sangster

5:56

EDouglasCS: We also saw Lili Taylor who plays Mary Cooper

5:56

EDouglasCS: Giancarlo Esposito is best known as Gus Fring for Breaking Bad and he’s joining the cast as Jorge

5:58

Comment From Centurium

His many viewers you got on here so far? Is it 2,000 yet (?)

5:58

EDouglasCS: Wes Ball is talking about how they’re trying to make it seem like a completely different movie even though this starts right after the last movie

5:58

ComingSoon.net: Almost 1,000

5:58

EDouglasCS: It says it’s going to throw them into a very cool third movie

6:00

EDouglasCS: Giancarlo is very enthusiastic about doing the movie (i guess the check cleared)

6:00

EDouglasCS: He’s doing most of the talking

6:00

EDouglasCS: They’re talking about the new threats with the world being more expansive than the last movie

6:00

EDouglasCS: “It’s almost a different genre”

6:00

EDouglasCS: He’s talking about the virus that’s ravaging the world and it’s creating “cranks”?

6:00

EDouglasCS: They’re the infected.

6:01

EDouglasCS: He’s saying that it’s more of a horror film this time.

6:01

EDouglasCS: He’s showing a clip of the cranks

6:03

Comment From Centurium

They’re moving a bit slow compared to other panels

6:04

ComingSoon.net: This panel is quite long, almost two hours.

6:04

EDouglasCS: Yikes.. that was pretty scary

6:04

EDouglasCS: Thomas and Brenda are walking through a sewer-like tunnel underground

6:04

EDouglasCS: Their only light is their flashlights

6:05

EDouglasCS: They eventually get to a point in the tunnels where there’s some creepy vines all over the walls

6:05

EDouglasCS: “What is this?” Thomas asks and then they hear a high scream which turns out to be an infected rat

6:05

EDouglasCS: Brenda stomps on it and it runs off to the dark where it’s grabbed by an infected caught up int he vintes

6:06

EDouglasCS: it starts breaking free

6:06

EDouglasCS: (Next up is Victor Frankenstein)

6:08

EDouglasCS: Paul McGuinan, James McAVoy and Daniel Radcliffe are all on hand

6:08

EDouglasCS: That footage looked scary as hell, too… but there was a funny Young Frankenstein joke too

6:08

EDouglasCS: It’s supposed to be a different take on Frankenstein but it looks pretty faithful except maybe it has a bit more humor

6:09

Comment From Centurium

Is there no Spencer from SHH?

6:09

Spencer Perry-SHH: I am here!

6:09

EDouglasCS: It also has a lot of McAvoy and Radcliffe as Victor and Igor (without a hunchback that we could see) and it seems almost like a buddy hour movie

6:09

EDouglasCS: Paul McGuinan says that it’s a love story between the two men

6:09

EDouglasCS: We see a brief glimpse of the creature as he’s attacking Victor but we also see other creatures that are pretty horrific

6:10

EDouglasCS: I’m assuming this is going to be R but Maze Runner is really pushing the envelope

6:10

EDouglasCS: Going back to Scorch Trials, they’re chased by a bunch of cranks

6:10

EDouglasCS: James McAvoy has a “Frankie Goes to Hollywood” camp that has Frankenstein’s monster saying “relax”

6:10

EDouglasCS: apparently that’s the present that the crew got

6:11

EDouglasCS: The Cranks in Scorch Trials are crazy scary… a bit like zombies but they’re all screaming and there are about 9 or 10 of them.

6:11

EDouglasCS: Thomas and Brenda get chased down the tunnel until they reach the end which is a huge pit with large crumbled buildings around it and there’s one building that’s literally toppled over onto another

6:12

EDouglasCS: From the trailer, it looked like the chase continues into that building where Brenda starts sliding down the floors and is grabbed by a Crank

6:12

EDouglasCS: Back to Frankenstein — McAvoy and Radcliffe are talking abut their relationship

6:12

EDouglasCS: “If you ever wanted to see Daniel Radcliffe abused…” McAvoy says

6:13

EDouglasCS: Daniel has a full-on beard while McAvoy is clearly bald having shaved his head to play Xavier… and yeah I’d expect there to be some Apocalypse stuff

6:13

Comment From David Persev

Do you guys like all these segmented panels or do you wish each movie had it’s own panel?

6:13

EDouglasCS: It’s hard to keep up when you’re writing about one movie and the next movie starts

6:13

EDouglasCS: Daniel and James are making lots of off-color jokes to each other

6:14

EDouglasCS: They’re apologizing for making off-color jokes for the audience under 18

6:15

EDouglasCS: McAvoy compares Igor to Liam Neeson in Taken (also from Fox) saying Igor has a special set of skills that he abuses and uses to his own ends

6:15

EDouglasCS: But Frankenstein has an ego and an obsession with advancing science so he doesn’t see Igor as his equal especially when he questions what Victor is doing

6:16

EDouglasCS: McCoy is being really funny on the panel

6:16

EDouglasCS: He’s making comparisons to the Mary Shelley original but the movie gives him a reason to be crazy and then not cure him of it

6:17

EDouglasCS: “We keep him mad all the way to the end.. more fun because mental people are fun”

6:17

EDouglasCS: They’re talking about Max Landis (Chronicle) who wrote the script

6:17

Comment From Centurium

No females in the footage?

6:17

EDouglasCS: Not really. It seems to be focused on them

6:18

EDouglasCS: It seems like a trailer that’s ready to be shown though, same with Scorch Trials

6:19

EDouglasCS: Paul said that there was no day where he thought it was an easy day because Victor and Igor are very violent towards each other. James is making all sorts of off-color remarks about their relationship

6:19

EDouglasCS: lots of innuendo

6:19

EDouglasCS: The two of them are now recreating a scene from the movie where he presses him up against the wall… and Daniel is completely playing the straight man to McAvoy

6:20

EDouglasCS: This is a very R-rated panel.. wonder if the movie is the same

6:20

EDouglasCS: Every thing they’re saying is getting laughs because of the innuendo … and then Daniel brings up his “hump” and the crowd erupts in laughter

6:20

EDouglasCS: They’re showing a clip from the movie

6:23

EDouglasCS: Some crazy footage1

6:24

EDouglasCS: Basically Victor calls everyone into “Hall H” for a presentation and once there, he unveils a corpse on a table

6:24

EDouglasCS: It’s some unidentifiable “homunculus” made up of body parts with an electrical coil and he tells Igor to get ready to which he responds “Yes master”

6:24

EDouglasCS: Next up is Fantastic Four

6:25

EDouglasCS: Anyway, he zaps the corpse with the electrical charge and flies come pouring out of it so the other scientists move back and they keep giving a bigger charge

6:25

EDouglasCS: until the creature’s eye opens up and it knocks Victor away from the table and then it gets up and it’s a decomposing monkey of sorts.

6:26

EDouglasCS: IT run out the door down the stairs and into a laboratory as Victor follows him in there and as he looks around, the monkey creature jumps on him off a cabinet and that’s it

6:26

EDouglasCS: Okay..> FF

6:27

EDouglasCS: Josh Trank is here as is producer Simon Kinberg, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael Jordan, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebell again

6:27

EDouglasCS: Josh Trank says it’s his first time back at Comic-Con since he was a teenager

6:27

EDouglasCS: Josh and Simon are talking about how the movie came together

6:27

EDouglasCS: “more grounded, dramatic, more emotional character-driven story”

6:28

EDouglasCS: Thank says that he saw this as his continuation of Chronicle

6:28

EDouglasCS: Miles on how he approaches Reed Richard … “Every time you play a real person…”

6:28

EDouglasCS: Josh was sending Niles science books about quantum physics. “You approach it very honestly and I loved the opportunity”

6:28

EDouglasCS: He said he wanted to do a superhero movie but “Spider-Man came and went”

6:29

EDouglasCS: He says you’ll be drawn into the world

6:29

EDouglasCS: Kate looks really cute with her pixie short hair bob… are you jealous that I’m in the same room with her?

6:29

EDouglasCS: She liked the family aspect of the movie

6:30

EDouglasCS: She said she didn’t know much about the Fantastic Four but she liked Josh’s take on an origin film.

6:30

Comment From John

damn you E. douglas

6:30

EDouglasCS: She says it’s “darker than people are used to”

6:30

EDouglasCS: (I interviewed Toby Kebbell earlier and will post later tonight)

6:30

EDouglasCS: “I’m trying to make them as relatable as possible”

6:30

EDouglasCS: She said she relied on the script Simon wrote and what Josh brought to the table

6:31

EDouglasCS: Michael on his favorite part of working on the film “It was like a childhood dream being able to put on that suit and playing such an iconic character”

6:31

EDouglasCS: “You have to respect the history of the Fantastic Four as Marvel’s First Family”

6:32

EDouglasCS: Jamie Bell talking about Ben Grimm. I wonder if they’ll allow any audience questions

6:32

EDouglasCS: This is not a great panel… the footage was fine but the questions and answers are so lame. It just seems canned like Fox wrote all the questions

6:32

EDouglasCS: I hope the FF footage is better

6:33

EDouglasCS: I liked Frankenstein and I’m curious to see Maze Runner (I haven’t seen the original)

6:33

EDouglasCS: Next up is Toby Kebbell who also plays a mad scientist named Victor… funny coincidence

6:33

EDouglasCS: “I play someone named Dr. Doom. He’s the best villain of all time”

6:34

EDouglasCS: These questions are terrible. I’m not even sure I want to repeat them and make you as mad as I am

6:34

EDouglasCS: “What makes a good villain?” Seriously?

6:34

Comment From SlamAdams

Its ComicCon, its all pretty canned, except Frankenstein, that seemed out there

6:34

EDouglasCS: Exactly

6:34

EDouglasCS: Serious answers are boring

6:35

EDouglasCS: Now Josh is talking about it being an origin but that it’s also a prequel to the characters before they become iconic

6:35

EDouglasCS: Again, I hope the footage is better than the quesitons/answers

6:35

EDouglasCS: Supposedly they just finished the movie

6:35

EDouglasCS: And they’re showing the final FF trailer

6:39

EDouglasCS: They just showed the new trailer and honestly? It doesn’t look that great

6:39

EDouglasCS: It opens with Reed as a kid talking in front of a class about wanting to be able to teleport and telling his teacher he already did it

6:39

EDouglasCS: We then see him trying one of his experiments and it causes a blackout

6:40

EDouglasCS: Then it cuts to years later where he’s working at a lab and we see the four of them walking through some sort of volcano with presumably radioactive lava?

6:41

EDouglasCS: Deadpan is next!!!!

6:41

ComingSoon.net: Deadpan! 🙂

6:41

EDouglasCS: And there’s an intro by Deadpool like something from Masterpiece Theater

6:42

EDouglasCS: “It starts with Deadpool in shadows and you just hear him doing a voiceover that starts ‘In a world divided by fear, one man must stand against the forces of evil”

6:42

EDouglasCS: “From the studio that inexplicably sewed his mouth shut”

6:43

EDouglasCS: And then he ends it with “They give you… ” and he claps twice and the light comes on “Me!” and then he gives a shout-out to Hall H and swears

6:43

EDouglasCS: When the light comes back on Ryan Reynolds on stage and the crowd goes wild and many stand up!

6:44

EDouglasCS: Oh hand is TJ Miller who plays Weasel

6:44

EDouglasCS: Ed Skrein as Ajax

6:44

EDouglasCS: Gina Carano as Angel DUst

6:44

EDouglasCS: Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead

6:45

EDouglasCS: Moreno Baccarat (from Gotham) who plays Copycat

6:45

EDouglasCS: No… Ryan REynold is not dressed as Deadpool

6:45

EDouglasCS: This is already a more lively panel because Ryan and TJ are very funny. I have a very funny interview with them to post later

6:45

EDouglasCS: “No matter what the rating is, babies will love this” — Ryan

6:46

EDouglasCS: Yes, Ajax is the main baddie but he also is sort of the creator of Deadpool

6:46

EDouglasCS: Ryan just dissed Green Lantern by saying that he did another superhero… but not a proper one

6:46

Spencer Perry-SHH: ooooooo

6:47

EDouglasCS: Moreno is talking about being Vanessa as a bad-ass love interest

6:47

EDouglasCS: “She gives him lip but not necessarily the talking kind”

6:47

EDouglasCS: This is TJ Miller’s first time at Comic-Con

6:47

Comment From Ur Mom

What was so bad about the Fantastic Four trailer?

6:48

EDouglasCS: It just looked like the same old same old… like X-Men: The Last Stand… it looks dated

6:48

EDouglasCS: I forgot to ask Ryan that question about whether they’ll make mention of X-Men Origin: Wolverine

6:48

EDouglasCS: Wow, TJ just went WAY over the R-rated line.I can’t repeat his joke

6:49

EDouglasCS: Brianna is talking about Negasonic Teenage Warhead a 15 year old superhero in training and she said she’s “Colossus’ trainee” so who knows maybe we’ll see him?

6:49

EDouglasCS: Brianna says she’s had a crush on Ryan Reynolds

6:50

EDouglasCS: She even photoshopped a picture of herself next to Ryan when she was in high school “I guess I was her Joey Lawrence” — Ryan

6:51

EDouglasCS: Ah, apparently Collosus is in the movie but a different actor from the X-Movies?

6:51

EDouglasCS: Wonder why he wasn’t here

6:51

EDouglasCS: They have so many actors here

6:52

EDouglasCS: Next up is Ed Skrein talking about Ajax who runs the workshop where Wade Wilson comes in to be healed and they give him powers and does all sorts of things to him (which you’ll know if you read the books)

6:52

EDouglasCS: Gina Carano is talking about Angel Dust who plays another one of Ajax’s creators and kind of his henchwoman

6:53

EDouglasCS: They haven’t shown Deadpool footage other than the intro so hopefully they save it

6:53

EDouglasCS: And we’re back to the bad questions

6:53

EDouglasCS: Tim Miller has a cool tattoo.. a long ribbon that runs up his arm

6:54

EDouglasCS: BTW, TJ Miller told me that Tim Miller is his father and I’m still not sure if he was joking

6:54

EDouglasCS: These panels are much more fun when they’re clowning around

6:54

EDouglasCS: Ryan is making lots of jokes about director Tim Miller crying like a baby on set

6:55

EDouglasCS: This is much more fun because the people on the panel are funny and not taking it seriously like FF

6:55

EDouglasCS: I’m not sure they’ll have a trailer for Deadpool. It has a lot of FX work

6:55

EDouglasCS: The guys on this panel are swearing so much… I hope they didn’t let any kids into this

6:56

EDouglasCS: This panel is also better cause instead of answering Hardwick’s questions, they just make jokes about each other. They’re still riffing on how much Tim Miller was crying on set

6:57

EDouglasCS: “It’s everything you love about the comics. It’s a guy who is going to break the fourth wall. It’s the most faithful representation of a supersuit from the comics to the screen”

6:57

EDouglasCS: “The mouth is at no times sewn shut. They promised me that.”

6:57

EDouglasCS: “You have the Merc with the Mouth, who is doing his best to annoy everyone around him”

6:58

EDouglasCS: They’re giving lots of credit to writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who wrote Zombieland, which Tim Miller says is the best script he’s ever read

6:58

EDouglasCS: (They’re awesome guys!)

6:58

EDouglasCS: I’m not even really a Deadpool fan and I’m exctied about this movie

6:58

EDouglasCS: They’re going to show footage!

7:02

EDouglasCS: I’m calling it. Best Marvel movie ever.

7:02

EDouglasCS: Holy shit that was great!!!

7:03

EDouglasCS: It shows Wade Wilson talking to his girlfriend saying he has cancer everywhere and she says not to do anything rash and he ends up in the workshop

7:03

EDouglasCS: People are screaming for them to play the footage one more time

7:06

EDouglasCS: So they showed an extended version of the test footage with Deadpoo taking out assassins in an SUV but we also see him being bashed into a car by Colossus

7:07

EDouglasCS: Lots of funny jokes including a scene with Wade taking off his mask and showing Weasel (TJ Miller) his face

7:08

EDouglasCS: TJ says “Motherf*cker, you are hard to look at” to which Wade responds “like a testicle with teeth” and then TJ says he looks like “freddie Krueger f*cked a topographical map of Utah”

7:08

EDouglasCS: There are lots of funny asides including Wade saying “F*ck Liefeld” to someone in a strip club

7:08

EDouglasCS: They’re showing an X-Men reel now

7:10

EDouglasCS: Back to Deadpool

7:10

EDouglasCS: There’s also a funny joke where Wade is being taken to be experimented on and he says “Please don’t give me a suit that’s green… and animated!”

7:11

EDouglasCS: We did get to see Wade’s face in the scene between him and TJ Miller

7:11

EDouglasCS: They just showed a sizzle reel of the other X-Movies and it included audition footage from Jackman from 1999 and Hugh Jackman just came out

7:11

EDouglasCS: “I can’t believe how young I used to look and three words… Old Man Logan. That’s all I’m saying”

7:12

EDouglasCS: Wade Wilson didn’t look as bad as he does in the comics or as bad as Freddie Kruger… he just had a really scarred/wrinkled face

7:12

EDouglasCS: Hugh Jackman is there to thank all the fans “and in the movies, he’s not dead yet”

7:12

EDouglasCS: “This next time is my last time putting on the claws” and he shows a picture of Wolverine with his middle claw out

7:13

EDouglasCS: The new movie is going to be directed again by James Mangold

7:13

EDouglasCS: Jackman seemed to tease Old Man Logan and he just introduced Bryan Singer

7:13

EDouglasCS: Singer is in the middle of shooting X-Men: Apocalypse

7:13

Comment From jp

So Reynolds face is more like a finger tip thats been in the bath too long?

7:13

EDouglasCS: Sure 🙂

7:14

EDouglasCS: (There was so much swearing in the Deadpool footage as well as big-time bloody kills. He shoots three of the assassins in the head)

7:14

EDouglasCS: thy need to release a Red Band trailer for Deadpool. That was so much fun

7:15

EDouglasCS: Jackman and Singer are talking about how they first met at his audition and how Singer said the role would change his life forever

7:15

EDouglasCS: Bryan Singer is bringing out the rest of the cast throwing it over to Hardiwcke

7:15

EDouglasCS: Evan Peter is there (Quicksilver)

7:15

EDouglasCS: Havoc – Lucas Till

7:15

EDouglasCS: Jubilee,

7:15

EDouglasCS: Nightcrawler

7:15

EDouglasCS: Cycopls

7:16

EDouglasCS: Beast Nicholas Hoult

7:16

EDouglasCS: Professor x- James Mcavoy (bald)

7:16

EDouglasCS: Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique

7:16

EDouglasCS: Michael Fasbender

7:16

EDouglasCS: Apocalypse – Oscar Isaac

7:16

EDouglasCS: Psylocke- Olivia Munn

7:16

EDouglasCS: And ben Hardy as Angel

7:16

EDouglasCS: Storm – Angela Shipp

7:16

EDouglasCS: simon Kinberg

7:17

EDouglasCS: they’re not sure where to put Hugh Jackman because all the seats are filled

7:17

EDouglasCS: who else is up there?

7:17

EDouglasCS: So many people on stage

7:17

EDouglasCS: Sophie Tunner/Jean Grey (she looks great as a redhead)

7:18

EDouglasCS: Sorry about misspellings. This is very hard to keep up with

7:18

EDouglasCS: Hugh Jackma and Bryan sInger are doing a lot of funny riffing as Jackman is chased off stage

7:19

EDouglasCS: I feel like I missed someone.. did I say Jubilee? (Can’t remember the actreses’ name)

7:19

EDouglasCS: Apocalypse takes place ten years after Days of Future Past

7:19

EDouglasCS: Wait, who is the actress with the long black hair?

7:19

EDouglasCS: Oh that’s Storm

7:20

EDouglasCS: No, you’re right, that’s Olivia Munn

7:20

EDouglasCS: They’re showing footage without visual FX

7:23

EDouglasCS: That looks AMAZING! Oh, man..

7:23

EDouglasCS: We got to see Oscar Isacc as Apocalypse and he looks exactly like in the comics

7:24

EDouglasCS: The footage opened with Jean Grey seeing a future where the world is destroyed in a nuclear explosion

7:24

EDouglasCS: Professor X asks what she saw and she says the “end of the world”

7:25

EDouglasCS: There’s a voice over from Isaac about he’s been seen as a God and he lists a couple that he’s represented

7:25

EDouglasCS: there’s talk about cults that worship mutants

7:25

EDouglasCS: We hear a lot of voice over from Apocalypse before we finally see him in a hood and Magneto says “Who the F*ck are You?”

7:26

EDouglasCS: We see a bunch of the characters including Storm (in a mohawk!)

7:26

EDouglasCS: Apocalypse can control other mutants and we see a scene where the X-men are facing Apocalypse with a bunch of them including what looks like Archangel

7:26

Comment From abidvita

is that magnetos actual quote xD

7:26

EDouglasCS: yes

7:27

EDouglasCS: we only saw a little bit of Psylocke

7:27

EDouglasCS: By the way the crowd went nuts when we first saw Apocalypse in his classic look (he’s only slightly bigger than the others)

7:27

EDouglasCS: We get a glimpse of all the characters… Just a shot of Nightcrawler and Cyclops

7:27

EDouglasCS: We don’t see their powers because that’s FX that is still being worked on

7:28

EDouglasCS: But we also see a lot of Professor X in Cerebro as Apocalypse seems to be enhancing his power

7:28

EDouglasCS: and the footage ended with the classic Professor X look, in a wheelchair with a bald head (the crowd went wild for that too)

7:29

EDouglasCS: The titles said “Prepare for the Apocalypse”

7:29

EDouglasCS: Chris Hardwick is asking each of them how they fit in…

7:30

EDouglasCS: Lana is talking about Jubilee’s costume which sounds a lot like the comics (although we only really saw a brief glimpse of her)

7:31

EDouglasCS: Next up is Kodi Smit McPhee who talks about Nightcrawler’s faith

7:31

EDouglasCS: Tye is talking about Cyclops and he’s having trouble putting it into words

7:31

EDouglasCS: (I just saw Tye Sheridan in Stanford Prison Experiment, apropos of nothing)

7:31

EDouglasCS: Hugh left the stage before they showed the footage. I doubt he’s in the movie

7:32

EDouglasCS: Next up… Sophie… man, she’s quite a beauty

7:32

EDouglasCS: She’s giving props to Famke Jansen’s portrayal and how she needs to live up to it

7:32

EDouglasCS: This is a great cast and it would be awesome if they do another movie with them

7:32

Comment From Legend…ary

Douglas keep it in your pants

7:32

EDouglasCS: Sorry.. it’s lonely here in Hall H

7:33

EDouglasCS: (I blame Deadpool)

7:33

EDouglasCS: “I can’t concentrate cause I’m still psyched about the Deadpool trailer”;

7:34

EDouglasCS: McCoy is talking about taking what Patrick Stewart did but “trying to make it better cause he’s really old”

7:34

EDouglasCS: “I’m joking, he paid for my house”

7:34

EDouglasCS: McCoy is very funny

7:34

EDouglasCS: I think McAvoy made that Deapool quote of course

7:34

EDouglasCS: It looks like his shaved head is already growing back

7:34

EDouglasCS: Olivia Munn!!

7:34

EDouglasCS: “Someone’s come along way from Attack of the Show!”

7:35

EDouglasCS: This is an Attack of the Show reunion!

7:35

EDouglasCS: “You used to cover this stuff and now your’e part of it!”

7:35

EDouglasCS: Olivia: “This is like the mothership calling me home”

7:36

EDouglasCS: Everyone on the Fox panel has been swearing a lot

7:36

EDouglasCS: “I have some serious badass wings” – Ben Hardy who plays angel

7:36

EDouglasCS: Alexandra Shipp (I got her name wrong earlier)

7:36

EDouglasCS: She seems to have shaved her head or is wearing a mohawk wig

7:37

EDouglasCS: I think they’re wrapping up soon

7:37

EDouglasCS: They’re going to show the footage again! I’ll find a place to answer questions after this is over

7:40

EDouglasCS: They’re bringing out the full cast of Fantatic Four, X-Men, Deadpool and Wolverine to try to set a record of the largest gathering of superheroes

7:41

EDouglasCS: They’re taking a picture of everyone

7:41

EDouglasCS: there are like 30 people on the Hall H stage including everyone from WOlverine

7:41

EDouglasCS: And they asked someone to come out and take the picture… and they bring out Stan Lee

7:41

EDouglasCS: “I tell you, this is ridiculous. I’m going to take the picture!”

7:41

EDouglasCS: (My camera batteries died so hopefully ther will be lots of other pictures out there”

7:42

EDouglasCS: Stan Lee wants everyone to write to the Academy to nominate Best Cameo

7:42

EDouglasCS: Someone has to have a camerao

7:42

EDouglasCS: and out comes Channing Tatum!!!!

7:42

EDouglasCS: in a Gambit shirt

7:42

EDouglasCS: Chris Hardwick is using a selfie stick to take ap picture of all the actors on tage

7:42

EDouglasCS: Everyone is trying to take pictures

7:43

Spencer Perry-SHH: Hey those are banned!

7:43

EDouglasCS: BTW, Magneto is with Apocalypse in the face-off scene and he uses his powers to grab Professor X’s wheelchair and pulls it towards them

7:43

EDouglasCS: I can’t believe Channing Tatum is here and he seems to have a haircut for Gambit

7:43

EDouglasCS: I need to move but I’ll find a place to answer questions so hang out for a bit

7:45

EDouglasCS: I’m back to answer questions.. go!

7:45

EDouglasCS: Is this thing on?

7:46

Spencer Perry-SHH: We read you

7:46

EDouglasCS: Okay

7:46

Spencer Perry-SHH: Did Jackman really confirm Old Man Logan or just tease it?

7:46

EDouglasCS: Oh, the footage also showed Rose Byrne as Moira McTaggert telling Charles about Apocalypse

7:47

EDouglasCS: Then Apocalypse gives a big speech to the young mutants saying they’ve lost their way by following blind leaders

7:47

EDouglasCS: “Everything you’ve built will fall and from the ashes of the world, we’ll build a better one”

7:48

EDouglasCS: And then we see Apocalypse in the hood and Magneto says “Who the F are you?” and Apocalypse responds “Come and See” as we see him in costume

7:48

EDouglasCS: Yes, everyone was in costume but we didn’t see full body shots and most we only saw their heads or from the shoulders up

7:49

EDouglasCS: The only full body was when Apocalypse was standing with the other mutants under his control

7:49

EDouglasCS: yeah she looked good

7:49

EDouglasCS: Re Apocalypse voice for those asking. It sounded deeper than Oscar Isaac’s normal voice but it sounded really good.

7:49

EDouglasCS: Better than James Spader as Ultron

7:50

Comment From Undeadpool

did they look like the suits NegaSonic is wearing in Deadpool

7:50

EDouglasCS: Sorry I really don’t know the character. She was just wearing black leather and had a shaved head and nose ring

7:50

Comment From Genaro

So I Channing in Apocalypse?

7:51

EDouglasCS: I don’t think so. I think was just a surprise because Channing will start shooting Gambit soon (it comes out October 2016)

7:51

EDouglasCS: People were flipping out during this panel even without all the side screens of WB and Legendary

7:51

Comment From Ur Mom

How did Fantastic Four seem dated to you?

7:52

EDouglasCS: It just seemed like the superhero movies pre-Marvel. Marvel really changed everything and Bryan Singer’s X-Men movies have been top notch

7:52

EDouglasCS: but Fantastic Four just looks like a typical studio superhero movie. It doesn’t look special

7:52

Comment From David Persev

Which one are you most excited about between Deadpool and X-Men Apocalypse?

7:52

EDouglasCS: Probably X-Men because I’m a bigger fan of the classic new X-Men and not as big a Deadpool fan

7:52

Comment From Lena120

Ed, did they address Cyclops and Havoc’s relationship on the panel? That they’re brothers?

7:53

EDouglasCS: Not at all. I didn’t even see Havoc and Cyclops only had one shot as well. We did see a quick Quicksilver shot

7:53

EDouglasCS: Because of lack of FX, they could’t show much

7:53

Comment From Jdj42

Is apocolypse’s face makeup or CGi?

7:53

EDouglasCS: It seems to be a really good mask? I wasn’t sure.. not CG though.. practical

7:53

Comment From RayRay

So did Fox Win Comic Con or WB?

7:54

EDouglasCS: Hm… tough question. WB seems like so long ago although it was just this morning

7:54

EDouglasCS: (I’m obviously tired and my brain is mush)

7:54

Comment From LoveWaffle

Did you see any of Mystique in the Apocalypse footage?

7:54

EDouglasCS: Yes but not as Mystique, more as Raven/Jennifer Lawrence

7:54

EDouglasCS: She has a voiceover “A great storm approaches. That’s why I’m here… to fight”

7:54

EDouglasCS: What’s weird is that she seems to be on opposite sides of Magneto

7:54

Comment From Jdj42

On the deadpool mask, did the eyes move like a cartoon or were they stagnant like most supersuits?

7:55

EDouglasCS: We don’t see wade Wilson’s eyes through the mask

7:55

Comment From David Persev

Can you share more about the scene between Jean Grey and Professor X? Is she clairvoyant or do you think it was the Phoenix Force?

7:55

EDouglasCS: No Phoenix Force

7:55

EDouglasCS: She basically saw a vision of the future which Charles says was just a dream

7:55

EDouglasCS: What she says to Charles “I saw the end of the world. I could feel all this death”

7:55

EDouglasCS: (That opened the footage)

7:56

Comment From Sean C.

What’s odd about her being on an opposite side from Magneto? They weren’t on the same side in DOFP.

7:56

EDouglasCS: Because eventually she becomes part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and she was with him in the original X-Men movies

7:56

Comment From Tyler

DC and Fox really took advantage of Marvel’s absence. This has been an amazing day.

7:56

EDouglasCS: Yup… and last year’s Ant-Man panel wasn’t that well received

7:56

Comment From Jdj42

But we’re the eyes on his mask expressive?

7:57

EDouglasCS: Kind of? The mask definitely moves to make expressions

7:57

Comment From JD

Was there a certain part of the Deadpool footage that got the most laughs/cheers?

7:57

EDouglasCS: The scene with TJ Miller as Weasel making remarks about how ugly he looks and when he shoots the assassin in the head and the blood spurts out

7:57

Comment From YouKnowWho

How much of Doom was in the F4 Trailer and did you get to see him fight?

7:57

EDouglasCS: Not much and no.

7:57

Comment From Andre

Did Psylocke appear in the trailer? if yes, what did she look like?

7:58

EDouglasCS: Yes, very briefly. Pretty much as we’ve seen with purple outfit but I think they’re going to add FX for her psionic powers?

7:58

Comment From NoTimeForNames

Does Apocalypse show potential for being the best CB movie villain EVER?

7:58

EDouglasCS: Hm… too early to tell but I do have high hopes… and i’m not even a big Apocalypse fan

7:58

EDouglasCS: Apocalypse and Deadpool were introduced in the ’90s at a time when I wasn’t reading comics as much

7:58

Comment From JD

How does Cyclops’s suit look? Or did you not get a good enough look in the footage?

7:58

EDouglasCS: Not enough of a look. Just his head in the goggles

7:59

Comment From Apocalypse had his blue lips?

Did apocalypse have is iconic blue lips?

7:59

EDouglasCS: Yes! He looks JUST LIKE in the comics!

7:59

Comment From supbatsy

Your honest opinion, with Suicide Squad’s amazing footage(saw it leaked) and what seems to be the best X-Men movie yet plus an apparently amazing Deadpool film, is Marvel getting caught up to?

7:59

EDouglasCS: Let’s talk next year. Fox still haven’t had a movie that’s come close to making as much as some of Marvel’s. Nothing over $300 million for instance including X-Men: Days of Future Past

7:59

Comment From LoveWaffle

Did Apocalypse have the cables connecting to his arms?

7:59

EDouglasCS: Yes… like i said… EXACTLy like in the ocmics

8:00

Comment From Aderranyth

Who won the Comic Con this year? WB or Fox?

8:00

EDouglasCS: Hm…. can I call a tie?

8:00

EDouglasCS: Fox may only be slightly behind cause of that awful Fantastic Four section

8:00

EDouglasCS: And Maze Runner/Frankenstein were weaker than Pan/Man from UNCLE IMO

8:00

Comment From LoveWaffle

Can you say one good thing about the FF footage?

8:00

EDouglasCS: It ended?

8:01

EDouglasCS: I’m totally kidding. I’ll see the movie and see how it is but I’m a HUGE FF fan, almost as much as Spider-Man, and I have big expectations after the terrible previous movies

8:01

Comment From credar

Does Archangel have the metal-type wings?

8:01

EDouglasCS: From what I saw.. Yes

8:01

Comment From JD

Favorite footage/trailer shown at the panels today?

8:02

EDouglasCS: I kind of liked Suicide Squad cause I went to set and heard a lot but didn’t see much and it really seems like David Ayer has realized what’s great about a lesser known comic (like Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel)

8:02

EDouglasCS: It seems like Suicide Squad has a similar tone as Deadpool in terms of being anti-heroies/villains…but it’s not as funny

8:02

EDouglasCS: It just looks cool

8:02

EDouglasCS: Guys, I’m ready to bolt. One last question

8:03

Comment From LoveWaffle

FMK – Kate Mara, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn

8:03

Comment From YouKnowWho

Does The Thing speak in F4 trailer?

8:03

EDouglasCS: No (also not the last question)

8:03

Comment From movieman

top 3 movies of comic con?

8:04

EDouglasCS: X-Men Apocalypse, Suicide Squad and Deadpool but I’m sure BvS is going to be intense

8:04

Comment From deadcool

do you know when the footage might be leaked for deadpool?

8:04

EDouglasCS: Hopefully they’ll just put it online officailly rather than badly shot footage on an iPhone

8:04

EDouglasCS: And that’s it for me. Thanks for coming guys!
