An upcoming Apple TV+ show will mark the streamer’s debut in uncharted territory. The new project is going to feature a renowned couples therapist who will play a very crucial role in the series.
Apple TV+’s latest series introduces a new chapter for the streaming service
Apple TV+’s new show, The Last Person on Earth, will officially mark the streamer’s entry into the dating game.
Interestingly, Apple TV has brought acclaimed couples therapist and The Invite consultant Esther Perel to lead the upcoming series, reports Deadline. The show will follow polar opposite couples brought together by Perel and a team of matchmakers.
The couples will then go on an adventurous experience in a romantic and remote destination. The Last Person on Earth has been described as a social experiment amid increasing social isolation and will feature eight episodes. They will try to show that opposite personalities do attract each other.
Perel is a Belgian psychotherapist and New York Times bestselling author. She is best known for her Where Should We Begin? podcast. It includes live recordings of her therapy sessions with strange couples, combined with Perel’s insights. She was most recently involved in The Invite movie, from Olivia Wilde.
While Apple TV+ features various documentary shows, The Last Person on Earth will be completely different due to its pure focus on dating. Viewers who have already watched other shows such as Married at First Sight or Indian Matchmaking may find similar elements in the upcoming series.

The Last Person on Earth has Phil Harris as the executive producer alongside Dan Gray and Lou Hutchinson.
The Last Person on Earth Apple TV show has yet to receive an official release window.
