Toni Collette, Karren Karagulian, and more board Positano cast
According to a recent report published by Deadline, Toni Collette, Karren Karagulian (Anora), and three more actors have joined the cast of Matthew McConaughey’s upcoming romantic caper, Positano. The Italian-set Netflix drama has expanded its cast to include Collette, Karagulian, Salvatore Esposito (Gomorrah), Michele Savoia (Ferrari), and Lorenzo de Moor (You, Me & Tuscany).
Directed by Canadian filmmaker Daniel Roher, whose 2022 film Navalny won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, Positano follows the misadventures of a charismatic jewel thief. After falling for a mysterious woman, he decides to leave his life behind to help her. Together, they come up with a risky plan to pull off a high-stakes heist that puts much more than money on the line.
While the primary cast of the Netflix film has now been revealed, details about their roles remain under wraps. Alessandro Tanaka and Brian Gatewood wrote the script for Positano, with Roher directing the film.
Meanwhile, Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan are producing the movie for Working Title, alongside Derrin Schlesinger. Amelia Granger and Katherine Pomfret are serving as executive producers under the Working Title banner, along with writers Alessandro Tanaka and Brian Gatewood.
At the time of writing, Netflix has not shared any information about the filming locations or production timeline. As a result, Positano does not have an official release window yet.
