As Holly and Ari set out for their trip, they soon noticed a thug following them. They stop at the park and are confronted by a thug who is wearing a ski mask. He pulls out his gun and threatens the two to hand over their phones. He tells them to follow him and takes them to an alley. Meanwhile, Tate reaches the destination, only to find that Holly and Ari aren’t there. This leaves him devastated, and he begins his search for them.
Upon removing his mask, it’s learnt that the thug is none other than Doug William III’s loan shark. After revealing his identity, he calls Doug, informing him about the abduction and also reminding him about the payments of the insurance policy. He then sends over Ari and Holly’s picture, warning him not to call the cops.
A worried Doug tries his best to strike a good deal. He acknowledges that although he doesn’t have the required money to pay, all he can offer is the Horton heirloom necklace. The loan shark tells him to arrange the necklace or cash. Although Doug doesn’t have the necklace at present, he realizes that he heard from Leo about Gwen having it. So, there is a chance that Doug might steal it to rescue Ari and Holly.
On the other hand, Tate becomes aware that something bad happened to Holly and Ari when he finds their car in the parking lot. This confirms to him that the two never made it to the destination, leading him to reach out to Doug to learn about their whereabouts.
