John Cena Sr. Lost His Cool Over His Son’s WWE Heel Turn — Here’s Why

Last weekend, WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto witnessed one of the most shocking moments in history when John Cena turned heel. Cena secured his spot in the main event of WrestleMania 41, where he will challenge Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes for the title in Las Vegas.

Cody Rhodes entered the ring to congratulate John Cena on his victory. However, Rhodes had also received an offer from The Rock weeks earlier to become his personal champion and pledge loyalty to The Final Boss.

As they stood in the ring, The Rock and Travis Scott interrupted them, with The Rock eager to hear Cody Rhodes’ decision. However, Rhodes shocked him by rejecting the offer. John Cena initially appeared to support Rhodes’ decision and even embraced him until The Final Boss gave him a signal.

In one of WWE’s most shocking moments, John Cena stunned fans by hitting Cody Rhodes with a low blow, turning heel for the first time in 20 years. Siding with The Rock, Cena sent shockwaves through the wrestling world.

While wrestling stars continue to react to Cena’s shocking turn, his father, John Cena Sr., has grown frustrated with the constant questions about his son’s decision to align with The Rock.

John Cena Sr. says he’s had enough of his son’s heel turn questions

During his appearance on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge with Bill Apter, John Cena Sr. lost his patience when asked about his son’s heel turn. He urged everyone to let the storyline unfold without questions and calls.

He stated, “I’m tired of guys like you. I’m tired of the other phone calls that I’m getting. You’re going to have to get that from him. I am so tired of this. Why don’t we just let it play out and find out what’s happening? A reporter is a reporter. But listen, Bill Apter, ‘friend’ enough’s enough and thanks. I won’t say what Cody Rhodes said to you, but what I will say is have a nice day and thanks for nothing.”

John Cena Sr. is not ready to break character. His reaction also makes it seem like he’s playing along with his son’s shocking heel turn. Meanwhile, John Cena hasn’t been seen since his big betrayal. However, he will make his first appearance since turning heel on the 17th March edition of WWE RAW. It will be interesting to see what he has to say about his actions.
