Sweet Home 2 Trailer Teases Song Kang & Lee Jin-Wook in a Heated Discussion

Sweet Home 2 is all set to release on December 1, 2023, on Netflix. Starring Song Kang as the lead, the series follows the story of Green Home residents, who will fight a bigger battle against monstrous creatures who have taken over the world. The first season premiered three years ago and was very successful. Viewers have been wanting to know what happens after the cliffhanger at the end of season 1, and they will find the answers this Friday when Season 2 premieres.

Netflix recently released a trailer that showcases an intense discussion between Cha Hyun-Soo (Song Kang) and Pyeong Sang-Wook (Lee Jin-Wook). The duo are neo-humans with monstrous qualities, desperate to keep their human side alive. The two discuss the likelihood of staying alive. While Hyun-Soo fights to protect his people, Sang-Wook is trying his best to survive. Viewers will have to stay tuned to see if the two collaborate.

Song Kang & Lee Jin-Wook argue in new Sweet Home 2 trailer

The trailer begins with a bloodied Hyun-Soo kneeling down amidst Sang-Wook and his men. The setting is by a pool, where Hyun-Soo asks why they brought him there. It looks like Sang-Wook saves Hyun-Soo from being captured by the Crow Platoon, a unit established to hunt down the monsters. Sang-Wook explains that he did it to let Hyun-Soo live and avoid being caught. He says, “I saved you so you can live in freedom.”

However, Hyun-Soo isn’t fond of Sang-Wook’s actions. He explains that it was his decision and that he doesn’t care whether he lives or dies. Sang-Wook is frustrated at the explanation and asks Hyun-Soo why he handed himself to the soldiers. He further explains how the consequences of getting caught will lead Hyun-Soo to danger of being practically “ripped apart.”

Meanwhile, Hyun-Soo wonders if the fear of death was the reason Sang-Wook ran away. Hyun-Soo further asks Sang-Wook if he ran away because he was scared of dying. To this, Sang-Wook says, “I just wanted to live.” Sang-Wook warns Hyun-Soo to find a new purpose and not care about saving mankind. He wants the latter to only think about his life.

By the end of the trailer, Sang-Wook says, “There’s gotta be a reason you became a neo-human.” To uncover what the reason might be, and to find out more about their discussion, don’t forget to tune in to Sweet Home 2 on December 1, 2023, on Netflix.
