Mean Girls Musical Movie Adaptation Adds Jon Hamm & 2 More to Cast

The upcoming movie adaptation of the Mean Girls musical — itself, based on the beloved 2004 movie of the same name — has added three more actors to its cast.

THR is reporting that Jon Hamm is set to portray Coach Carr, who was originally played by Dwayne Hill in the film. Deadline recently reported that Mahi Alam and Connor Ratliff will be in the new adaptation as well. Alam will be playing Kevin G, who was originally played by Rajiv Surendra, while Ratliff will reportedly play a teacher named Mr. Rapp.

The three actors join previously announced cast members Angourie Rice, Jaquel Spivey, Auli’i Cravalho, Reneé Rapp, Jenna Fischer, and Busy Philipps, as well as Tina Fey and Tim Meadows, who will reprise their respective roles of Ms. Norbury and Principal Duvall.

The Mean Girls musical movie adaptation is planned for a Paramount+ debut, though it currently has no release date. The original Mean Girls movie came out in 2004 and became an enduring hit. The musical, which is based on the movie, premiered in Washington D.C. in 2017 and made its Broadway debut in 2018.
