Keanu Reeves Offers Constantine 2 Update, Wants to Play Wolverine

Ahead of the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, action star Keanu Reeves did a Reddit “Ask Me Anything,” where he answered numerous fan questions involving everything from John Wick to Constantine.

One fan asked if Reeves had spoken with James Gunn about Constantine 2, then said they hoped that fans would get to see it. Reeves replied positively, saying, “Yes, and me too.”

When asked if there was ever a role that Reeves regretted turning down, the actor said, “…No…but I did always want to play Wolverine.” Reeves isn’t alone, as fans have been casting the star as the iconic mutant for quite some time.

Another poster wanted to know which Reeves preferred between the kung fu training he did for The Matrix and the training he did for John Wick.

“…Nothing can ever compare to the kung fu training from the Matrix because it was so unique and my first time…but the jiu jitsu in John Wick being integrated with judo and gunfights can never be touched in its own way,” he responded.

Finally, when asked which John Wick was the most challenging to shoot, Reeves answered with a bit of a tease, saying, “Chapter 4…. it has the most action, gloriously.”

John Wick: Chapter 4 is being directed by Chad Stahelski from a screenplay co-written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch, who is taking over from franchise creator Derek Kolstad. It is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Stahelski with Reeves and Louise Rosner as executive producers. The film will arrive in theaters on March 24, 2023.
