Probably, they had to make it sometime, but if its about Planet X and/or the "Passing of the planet ( where a planet bigger then Jupiter passes between earth and the sun.)

Have faith in God? Are you serious? Do you really believe that when we destroy our environment and nuke the **** out of each other God is going to come down and save us all? Or just people of your faith? Get real, God didn't stop the massive genocide of the past, he's not going to save us when we **** up again.

I agree with realist. More specifically, this film is based on the Mayan calender and what they've called the fifth era of humanity; ending in 2012, thus creating multiple predictions about the "end of the world". What is the plot, I don't know. they will for sure get all "eye-candy sequence" and try to base it around some important likable characters who witness these atrocities. But in real life if the world doesn't end by 2013, this film will be a big goof.

Doesnt anyone realize that this is based on the predictions by Nostradamus? cmon what are they teaching you all? jk, but nostradamus, yes, thats what its about

Not to mention also, that this is without a doubt a spin off of day after tomorrow, wether or not it will be better? whos to say, but i think a different and more current and better directed version of so is exactly what we need...

Roland's always been Aliens/Action/Global Catastrophy... Option A) Lost planet re-enters our solar system causing mayhem, and a select few going underground to save humanity... Option B) is Option A) w/ Aliens on board but a better ID4 type plot combined with bad and good aliens w/ some possibly emerging from inner earth ... Option C) Some type of Atlantis civilization re-emerges to rule us.... Those are the big 3... but there will be aliens... much global catastrophy... and the title will be "2012 : It's Now Tomorrow" =]

this is one of about 6 films based on the end of the world in 2012 - and one of 3 with the same exact title - look for who ever gets the greenlight first to keep the title and the others to change!

Wrong, this is based on the end of the Mayan Calender...see themanwhofalls post. Nostradamus' writings are much more vague.
