Tension between Judgment Day members Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio has been escalating for months. Last week on WWE RAW, Balor lost his Intercontinental Championship match against Bron Breakker after Mysterio’s interference backfired.
Finn Balor climbed to the top rope to hit his finishing move on Breakker while The Judgment Day’s Carlito distracted the referee. Dominik Mysterio tried to attack Breakker but accidentally sent Balor crashing down from the turnbuckles.
Bron Breakker took advantage, delivered a spear, and pinned Finn Balor for the win to retain his title. After the match, Balor posted a photo highlighting the costly mistake and added a snake emoji, taking a subtle shot at Mysterio. On the show, Balor calls Mysterio a snake when Mysterio attempts to recruit Penta El Zero Miedo into The Judgment Day.
Penta challenged Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship on this week’s WWE RAW, but interference from Mysterio and Carlito cost him the match. After the bout, Balor attacked Breakker with a steel chair and handed it to Mysterio, expecting him to strike. Instead, Mysterio gave the chair to Penta, encouraging him to attack Breakker.
Penta refused, threw the chair back at Mysterio, and superkicked him. Furious, Balor and The Judgment Day attacked Penta, beating him down. The show ended with Balor extending a hand to Mysterio as Judgment Day stood tall, but the tension between them remains.
With speculation growing over their rocky alliance, Balor has finally broken his silence, setting the record straight on his issues with Mysterio.
Finn Balor breaks his silence on recent tension with Dominik Mysterio
After WWE RAW, Dominik Mysterio took to Instagram, sharing photos with The Judgment Day, including their leader Finn Balor. The post suggested that Balor and Mysterio had put their differences aside. Balor himself confirmed this by commenting, “Hey, brothers fight all the time!! It’s all gravy, mate.”
With tensions between Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio seemingly settling, reports suggest that WWE is planning a Fatal 4-Way match for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41.
The match is expected to feature Bron Breakker, Penta, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio. With Mysterio set to compete, seeing how things unfold now that he and Balor have put their differences aside will be interesting.
