CM Punk has put 16-time World Heavyweight Champion John Cena on notice ahead of WWE RAW. At Elimination Chamber: Toronto, Punk and Cena shared the ring for the first time in a decade in a men’s Elimination Chamber match.
During the match, Seth Rollins, frustrated after his elimination, hit Punk with a Curb Stomp. Cena took advantage and locked Punk in a submission hold, forcing him to pass out. With the win, Cena secured a shot at Cody Rhodes’ WWE Undisputed Title at WrestleMania 41.
After the match, Rhodes entered the ring to congratulate Cena with a handshake. However, The Rock, appearing alongside Travis Scott, intervened in a shocking moment. Following The Rock’s signal, Cena delivered a low blow to Rhodes, turning heel for the first time in 20 years.
On WWE RAW last week, Cena addressed the fans and vented his frustration. He accused them of bullying and using him for over two decades. As Cena’s rivalry with Rhodes heats up, CM Punk has inserted himself into the mix. He called out Cena and dismissed his chances of winning at WrestleMania 41.
CM Punk dismisses John Cena’s chances of winning title at WWE WrestleMania 41
CM Punk recently declared that John Cena has no chance of leaving WrestleMania 41 as the champion. At a recent WWE live event in Nottingham, England, Punk teamed up with Cody Rhodes to face Gunther and Solo Sikoa.
After securing the victory, Punk grabbed the microphone and praised Rhodes, calling him a friend and expressing how proud he was of Rhodes carrying WWE. He confidently stated, “This is his house, he is the champion, and I don’t think John Cena has a chance in hell at WrestleMania to walk out with the title.”
With CM Punk making a bold statement against John Cena ahead of WWE RAW, which is set to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, it will be interesting to see how Cena, who is scheduled to appear on the show, reacts to Punk stating that he doesn’t have a chance to walk out as champion at WrestleMania 41.
