AEW All Out featured the highly anticipated Steel Cage unsanctioned lights-out match between Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland. The show took place at the Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, this past Saturday.
The AEW All Out included several high-profile matches, such as MJF defeating Daniel Garcia, Will Ospreay retaining his AEW International Championship against Pac, and Bryan Danielson successfully defending his title against Jack Perry.
However, in a shocking turn of events, members of Danielson’s Blackpool Combat Club faction attacked him. The show was headlined by Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page, where the latter came out on top.
While the show was a success for the promotion, reports have emerged of a backstage incident involving an AEW star during AEW All Out 2024. Over the years, the promotion has witnessed multiple backstage incidents, such as the altercation involving the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Ace Steel, and CM Punk at All Out in 2022. Another incident at last year at AEW All In 2023 between Jack Perry and Punk led to the latter’s firing.
With the promotion experiencing yet another backstage incident at AEW All Out, the situation has caught the attention of many. The details of this recent backstage incident have been disclosed.
What happened at AEW All Out 2024 backstage?
The incident reportedly occurred before the AEW World Heavyweight Champion match featuring Bryan Danielson and Jack Perry. According to wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio, security rushed backstage in response to the situation. Alvarez confirmed that the altercation involved an unnamed AEW star and a member of the production team. However, the identities of both parties remain undisclosed.
He stated, “So before this match started a bunch of security dudes just start sprinting backstage. What happened was apparently there was some incident with one of the wrestlers that wasn’t on this show, they were shooting something backstage, and this wrestler and a production guy got into a big thing. Some people are saying it was absolutely nothing but it was big enough that security sprinted backstage. But I was told that whatever it was they apparently talked it out and everything ended up ok.”
While the name of the AEW star involved remains undisclosed, the show featured several extreme spots in its matches.
