After its successful theatrical run, DreamWorks’ The Wild Robot has now started streaming on Prime Video. Helmed by director Chris Sanders, it is an adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name by Peter Brown. The film received three Academy Award nominations, namely Best Animated Feature, Best Original Score, and Best Sound.
The plot revolves around Roz, which is a robot that performs services and ends up stranded on a secluded island due to an unforeseen accident. The robot finds itself alone in a new environment and learns how to survive in the wilderness through its interactions with animals. In the process, the robot starts to develop friendships that transform its perception of life.
