Tony Khan’s Comments on Airing AEW All In Backstage Footage

AEW President Tony Khan has shared his thoughts on the upcoming Dynamite episode showcasing All In backstage footage. During the April 6th edition of AEW Collision, the promotion teased an upcoming segment featuring The Young Bucks for the April 10th edition of Dynamite. This segment will mark the first time ever that backstage footage from AEW All In will be showcased

This has led many to believe that the promotion is planning to showcase the reported altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry, who is said to have been caught on camera. This incident resulted in Punk getting fired from the promotion

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Tony Khan commented on the upcoming segment featuring AEW All In backstage footage. He said, “AEW has a great track record on delivering what we advertise, and it is real footage. The Young Bucks will show backstage footage from All In, the most important event in AEW history–the world record-holder for the most tickets ever sold for any wrestling record, over 81,035 total–and it was an important night backstage, as well.”

Fightful Select also reported that the AEW is planning to air the actual footage. The promotion isn’t going to falsely promote something, especially since there don’t appear to be any legal issues involved.

AEW’s aim to embarrass CM Punk on Dynamite

Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer shared his thoughts on the upcoming AEW segment on Dynamite featuring All In backstage footage. Speaking on the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer believes that the promotion is planning to embarrass CM Punk.

He said, “The Young Bucks are narrating this. The thing that’s weird is the idea is to embarrass Punk, right? To show that Punk’s a liar and embarrass Punk. However, the guys if they actually do this, the guys doing this are heels that don’t want to be babyfaces… When Jack Perry comes in, it’s not supposed to be as a babyface so I am confused.”

It was reported that Tony Khan was upset with CM Punk following his recent interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour.
