Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) Joins AEW

Mercedes Mone made her much-anticipated debut in AEW during the electrifying ‘Big Business’ edition of Dynamite in Boston on March 13. The anticipation for Mercedes’ arrival had been building since AEW President Tony Khan teased a special edition of Dynamite. Numerous hints and teasers had been given by Mercedes herself, fueling speculation about her potential arrival in AEW.

As the show started, the arena was buzzing with excitement, and fans were really looking forward to seeing Mercedes Mone. They were cheering and chanting ‘CEO’ as they couldn’t wait for her to come out. Also, Mercedes Mone didn’t keep them waiting long. She came out right at the beginning of the show and jumped into the action. Furthermore, walking into the ring with her new theme music playing, she talked passionately to her hometown fans.

Mone grabbed the microphone to express her gratitude. She proclaimed that she was ‘home’ and extended heartfelt thanks to the fans for their unwavering support over the past two years. Additionally, she talked about how wrestling saved her and how wrestlers like Eddie Guerrero inspired her to succeed in a male-dominated field.

Mone turned her focus to AEW’s women’s division. Addressing past conflicts, notably with Williow Nightingale, she expressed gratitude to Tony Khan for the opportunity. With the former WWE Women’s champion now officially part of the All Elite roster, the stage is set for a new chapter in her career.

Mercedes Mone rescues old rival on AEW Dynamite Big Business

As AEW Dynamite Big Business started with the debut of Mercedes Mone, it set the stage for a monumental main event. Willow Nightingale and Riho engaged in a thrilling contest, with Nightingale ultimately emerging victorious.

However, as Nightingale celebrated her win, the arena went into darkness, only to reveal AEW TBS champion Julia Hart eyeing her potential next challenger at the ramp. Suddenly, Hart’s ally Skye Blue launched a surprise attack on Nightingale, with Julia swiftly joining the fray.

Outnumbered and under attack, Nightingale found unexpected support in her former rival, Mercedes Mone, who emerged to even the odds and drove the assailants away. Following this act of solidarity, Nightingale graciously welcomed Mone back.

Fans may recall that Mone had endured an ankle injury during her match against Willow Nightingale last year in May at NJPW Resurgence, adding depth to the narrative of their reunion and Mone’s return to the ring.
