Bianca Belair has been on a hiatus from WWE for the last two months, but this break might be coming to an end. Rumor mill churning that she’s gearing up for a SmackDown return that would come as early as this week’s episode of SmackDown on October 20.
According to Wrestling Inc., “Belair could be back on WWE TV potentially as early as this week’s episode of “WWE SmackDown.” Belair is also expected to be part of WWE Crown Jewel, at the Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 4.
Earlier this August, Belair emerged victorious when he defeated Asuka and ‘The Queen’ Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat fight to win the WWE Women’s Championship, marking her third title. However, the celebrations were short-lived as Iyo Sky cashed in her Money in the Bank contract ending Belair’s reign.
Belair teamed up with Flair to defeat Iyo and Bayley on the August 18th edition of the SmackDown. She took a two-month break from WWE programming soon after, and recently news of her return got fans talking.
All eyes are on Bianca Belair’s next opponent upon her return
Belair’s return also coincides with that of former AEW TBS champion Jade Cargill, who recently signed with WWE.
Previous reports have seen Cargill calling the two-time WWE Women’s champion a “dream opponent.” While she’s seen Flair and Becky Lynch backstage sharing tense pleasantries, she’s yet to have an encounter with Belair.
WWE wrote Belair off TV after Damage CTRL injured her knee in a backstage segment. Chances are that the former’s next target is already locked in as she looks to regain the title back. If Damage CTRL is indeed next on the list, expect massive fireworks in the offing.
But for now, there’s no doubt that fans are curious to see when she makes her decorated return.
