Zoe Saldaña returns in Season 3 of Lioness with a mission close to home. In the new trailer, her character embarks on a journey in which she is torn between her duty and her home.
Lioness Season 3 follows, “Hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide. Joe walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Guided by Kaitlyn and Westfield, Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life.”

What do we see in the Lioness Season 3 trailer?
On Thursday, Paramount+ released the Season 3 trailer for Lioness. It shows Saldaña’s Joe in a more intense battle. At the start, she establishes her role as a soldier by telling her daughters, “I am a soldier, and a soldier’s job is to fight.”
The frame cuts to multiple drones looming overhead and unleashing explosives as Joe and her team race to escape the battlefield. She states, “Every enemy we have has been waging a covert war against us, attacking us with the tiniest of cuts,” realizing that her enemies are now closer than ever before.
Furthermore, it is shown that their national security has been compromised, and the Lioness’ targets could be made public. Joe is also warned by Kaitlyn, “You must assume they have your phone, assume they have everything.” She has to prepare for a battle that is more personal and more dangerous yet. The trailer ends with Edwin Mullins saying, “May God have mercy on us.”
Lioness Season 3 is helmed by Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan. Apart from Saldaña, the cast also includes Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, and LaMonica Garrett. Sheridan also serves as the executive producer with David C. Glasser, Saldaña, Kidman, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, and Keith Cox.
Lioness Season 3 will premiere on August 2, 2026, on Paramount+. Seasons 1 and 2 are available for streaming on the platform.
