Kevin Hart & Wesley Snipes are Brothers in Netflix’s True Story Trailer

Netflix has released the official True Story trailer for the upcoming limited drama series, starring Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes, with Hart making his dramatic series debut. The video features Hart as he portrays a famous comedian who gets unwillingly dragged into his older brother’s illegal activities that will threaten his career and life. The crime drama will be available for streaming on November 24.

True Story is a 7-episode dramatic limited series that hails from executive producer Narcos and Narcos: Mexico showrunner Eric Newman, who also serves as the writer. Joining Hart and Snipes are Tawny Newsome, Will Catlett, Paul Adelstein, Theo Rossi, Ash Santos, John Ales, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lauren London, and Billy Zane.

The official synopsis reads: “A tour stop in Kid’s (Hart) hometown of Philadelphia becomes a matter of life and death for one of the world’s most famous comedians when the consequences of a lost evening with his wayward older brother (Snipes) threaten to destroy everything he’s built.”

True Story is a production by Hartbeat Productions, with Hart set as an executive producer. It is produced by Caroline Currier from Grand Electric, and Mike Stein & Tiffany Brown from Hartbeat Productions. It is directed by Stephen Williams and Hanelle Culpepper, with Williams also serving as an executive producer.
