Two years after his last film appearance, Kevin Hart is back with a new comedy feature on Netflix. Hart is joined by several well-known comedians, including Marcello Hernández, in an adventure set in Miami. The movie comes after his hilarious TV special, The Roast of Kevin Hart.
Kevin Hart’s 72 Hours is now available to stream on Netflix
Kevin Hart’s new film 72 Hours is now streaming on Netflix. The film sees Hart on a high-stakes adventure with plenty of beaches, bars, drugs, and possibly some criminals chasing him through it all.
The synopsis for 72 Hours reads, “To save his career, a 40-year-old ad exec joins a crew of twentysomethings for a wild Miami bachelor party after they mistakenly add him to a group chat.”
As seen in its trailer, 72 Hours will see Hart’s character struggling to connect with the youth. “72 Hours offers an opportunity to take a look at the generational divide and bring us a little bit closer with every joke or heartfelt moment,” Hart told Tudum.
The R-rated comedy is directed by Tim Story, who previously helmed the heist comedy The Pickup and the 2021 live-action Tom & Jerry. He also directed the first two Fantastic Four films in the early 2000s. 72 Hours marks another collaboration between Story and Hart, following projects such as the Ride Along films and Think Like a Man.
The script is written by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, Kevin Burrows, and Matt Mider. Hart, Story, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg also serve as producers, alongside John Davis, Josh Heald, Luke Kelly-Clyne, Bryan Smiley, and Will Packer.
The film stars Kevin Hart, Marcello Hernández, Mason Gooding, Ben Marshall, Mike Epps, Teyana Taylor, Michael Mando, Kam Patterson, and Zach Cherry. At the time of writing, the film has a 10% aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Hart’s partnership with Netflix will continue with Cold as Balls returning later this year. He has also been cast in a spy-comedy with Henry Cavill, and the streamer also renewed Funny AF with Kevin Hart earlier this year.
