According to Deadline, The Expendables 3 star Wesley Snipes is heading to television after boarding the high profile NBC pilot “Endgame” opposite Philip Winchester (“Strike Back”) and Damon Gupton (Whiplash).
The new high-octane thriller from “Leverage” co-creator John Rogers is set in the world of Las Vegas where a former intelligence officer turned security expert Alex (Winchester) is forced to complete a series of challenges for something called The Game, in which innocent lives are at stake. Snipes will play the mysterious pit boss for The Game named Johnson who is responsible for keeping things from getting too out of control. Aiding Alex in these heroic challenges is his pal, Las Vegas Police detective Cal Brown (Gupton).
Currently on the comeback trail, this will be Snipes’ first TV work since co-starring in Dick Wolf’s short-lived 1990 series “H.E.L.P.” after having turned down several opportunities prior, including the lead in Fox’s current runaway hit “Empire.”
Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and John Fox will executive produce “Endgame” with Rogers for Sony TV.
