Family Guy‘s universe expands again with a new Stewie Griffin-focused spin-off. The upcoming spin-off just got major voice-casting updates including talent returning from the original series.
What is the update on the Family Guy Stewie spin-off show?
Hulu, Fox, and 20th Television Animation have announced the main voice cast for the upcoming Family Guy Stewie spin-off, Deadline reports. Seth MacFarlane will reprise his voice role as Stewie Griffin while also voicing a new character named Bean.
Mike Henry returns in this series, voicing BJ, Stewie’s new classmate. BJ is the son of Bruce, the long-time Family Guy neighbor, who is also voiced by Henry. The series has also added several notable actors, including Saturday Night Live veterans Kenan Thompson and Vanessa Bayer, The Rookie actress Melissa O’Neil, Aaron Lee, and Jessica Lowe.
Kenan Thompson voices Royal, a friend who isn’t easily convinced to join Stewie’s wild adventures. Venessa Bayer provides her voice to Morgan, Stewie’s carefree teacher, while Melissa O’Neil plays Wanda, an intelligent student who becomes Stewie’s love interest. Jessica Lowe voices Caroline, an aspiring influencer and Stewie’s classroom rival. Rounding out the cast is Lee as Skunk, the 100-year-old class turtle with a strange theory about almost everything.
The new series follows Stewie in a new school after his expulsion from his old preschool. Surrounded by a new group of classmates, a strange teacher, and an elderly turtle, he uses his inventions to whisk his classmates on wild adventures through space and time, turning ordinary days into unforgettable missions.
Created by Seth MacFarlane and Kirker Butler, Stewie received a two-season order from Fox earlier this year. The series is set to premiere during the 2027-28 TV season, with next-day streaming available on Hulu. Alongside Butler and Kara Vallow, MacFarlane executive produces the animated comedy while 20th Television Animation serves as the studio.
