Netflix Adds 3 Seasons of Popular Hulu TV Show Today

Netflix is expanding its TV library with a popular Hulu comedy series led by former Saturday Night Live cast member Aidy Bryant. When the series debuted in 2019, the first season received a Fresh score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

What hit Hulu show is now on Netflix?

Starting today, all three seasons of Bryant’s hit Hulu show Shrill are now available to stream on Netflix. This comes more than five years after the series ended its run. The ensemble cast included Bryant as Annie, Lolly Adefope as Fran, Luka Jones as Ryan, John Cameron Mitchell as Gabe Parrish, Ian Owens as Amadi, Patti Harrison as Ruthie, Julia Sweeney as Vera Easton, Daniel Stern as Bill Easton, Cameron Britton as Will Nolan, Fred Armisen as Bongo, and more.

“Annie is a full-figured woman who wants to change her life, but not her body; she is trying to start her career while juggling bad boyfriends, a sick parent, and a perfectionist boss,” reads the official synopsis.

Shrill was developed, written, and executive-produced by Bryan, Alexandra Rushfield, and Lindy West, with Rushfield also serving as a showrunner. It was based on the West’s 2016 non-fiction book of the same name. Executive producers were Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, Elizabeth Banks, and Max Handelman, with Dannah Shinder serving as a producer. It was a production by Warner Bros. Television, Brownstone Productions, Broadway Video, and Rushfield Productions. Poker Face’s Natasha Lyonne was also one of the show’s directors during its three-season run.
