SEAL Team is coming to Netflix

Netflix has officially acquired licensing rights to the military drama SEAL Team through a surprise deal with Paramount Global.

This marks the show’s first arrival on Netflix. SEAL Team originally aired on CBS before moving to Paramount+ for its final seasons. Under the new agreement, the series will stream on Netflix in the United States and select international territories.

The show follows an elite unit of Navy SEALs as they carry out high-risk missions. It also explores the personal and professional toll their work takes. The cast includes David Boreanaz and Max Thieriot. This addition expands Netflix’s catalog of procedural dramas, such as S.W.A.T. and The Night Agent, which have performed well on the platform.

Netflix revealed its licensing deal with Paramount Global in its Q4 2025 shareholder letter, released alongside the earnings report. The agreement includes approximately 20 titles from Paramount’s catalog, among them SEAL Team (via Deadline). The deal is part of an ongoing trend of licensed content from Paramount+, Showtime, and CBS making its way to Netflix.

This development comes as Netflix actively pursues a high-profile cash bid for HBO and Warner Bros. studios, a move that continues to dominate media headlines.
