Sakamoto Days Part 2 fans can rejoice watching new mid-season trailer
On August 21, during the ongoing Anime NYC 2025, Netflix unveiled a fresh look at Sakamoto Days Part 2, confirming the advent of the JCC Transfer Exams arc in the anime.
The mid-season trailer revealed an upcoming reunion between the titular Sakamoto, voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, and Uzuki, who is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa. Shocked to discover that Uzuki is still alive, Sakamoto decides to gain access to the JCC database to keep track of his nemesis. However, in order to do so, the retired hitman will have to enlist at the JCC school of assassins as a student.
As such, Sakamoto, Nobunaga Shimazaki’s Shin, and Ayane Sakura’s Shaotang embark on a perilous journey to tackle the formidable JCC exams. Guaranteed to test their abilities as assassins as well as their survival skills, the tests commence at a faraway destination. The Sakamoto Days Part 2 mid-season trailer highlights the spectacle-wearing killer engaging in an explosive one-on-one with Uzuki, before boarding a flight to the examination venue. The snippet also promises an intense action set-piece on the plane, with a special focus on Shin.
Having first premiered in July 2025, Sakamoto Days Part 2 continues to air episodes every other Monday. With the JCC exams arc starting on August 18 with Episode 17, the anime will now welcome three new voice cast members, in the form of Hisako Kanemoto as Nao Toramaru, Tomoaki Maeno as Jōichiro Kaji, and Tatsumaru Tachibana as Shinaya. With as many as five episodes still left to air, fans can expect several nerve-racking fights from Part 2 of Sakamoto Days.
