The Hunting Party Cast: Manifest’s Melissa Roxburgh to Lead NBC Crime Drama

According to Variety, Melissa Roxburgh, who’s best known for her roles as Michaela Stone in the hit sci-fi drama Manifest, has been tapped to star in NBC’s upcoming crime procedural drama titled The Hunting Party.

Roxburgh will be playing the role of ex-FBI agent Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, who’s being described as “shrewd, steadfast and obsessively curious.” Her full character description reads, “she gets recruited to an elite government task force due to her reputation as a savvy profiler who’s caught some of the world’s most dangerous serial killers.”

This marks Roxburgh’s first major TV project as the lead after Manifest ended its four-season run last year. She recently had brief appearances in NBC’s Quantum Leap and CBS’ Tracker.

What to expect from The Hunting Party?

“The series follows a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist,” reads the logline.

The Hunting Party is created and written by JJ Bailey, who is also set as the showrunner along with Jake Coburn. Bailey and Coburn are also executive producing the project. It is a production by Universal Television.
