Brilliant Minds
NBC canceled the medical drama after two seasons in May 2026. The Zachary Quinto-led series ranked as NBC’s lowest-rated drama on linear TV. It also suffered the steepest “double-digit year-to-year declines.” Tamberla Perry, who played Dr. Carol Pierce, thanked fans in an Instagram video.
“It takes a village to get these shows to keep having lives, and y’all gave us two lives, so thank you,” Perry said.
Good Cop/Bad Cop
The CW’s comedic police procedural ended after one season. Star Luke Cook announced the cancellation in a February 2026 TikTok video. “Hollywood has the ability to make your dreams come true and also break your heart,” Cook said.
The Hunting Party
NBC canceled the Melissa Roxburgh-led series in June 2026 after two seasons. The show’s linear ratings declined in season two despite receiving a boost from its Netflix debut.
Watson
CBS canceled the Morris Chestnut-led medical mystery after its second season in March 2026. “Yes, it’s disappointing, but that’s the way the show biz beast is,” Chestnut said on Instagram. CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach called it a “tough” decision. She noted the network had to “make room for new shows.”
Law & Order: Organized Crime
The Christopher Meloni-led spinoff ended after five seasons in April 2026 (via Deadline). Meloni reflected on playing detective Elliot Stabler in an Instagram video. “Good ride. It was a good ride, I had a great time playing him,” Meloni said. He also thanked fans for giving him “a career that I never dreamed of. Nearly 17 odd years.”
