Suits Returning To Broadcast TV After Successful Netflix Run

Following an explosion of popularity on Netflix, Suits will soon be making a comeback on broadcast TV. The premiere date has not been revealed yet, but it is confirmed to reach around 97% of U.S. TV homes this fall.

Fox will provide the series a Monday-through-Friday syndicated programming block, allowing viewers to watch it on free television via MyNetwork TV.

Suits to debut on MyNetwork TV in fall 2024

According to The Hollywood Reporter, all nine seasons of Suits will be available to watch on Fox’s MyNetwork TV this fall. It will be the first time the legal drama will be available on free television.

The executive vice president of programming for Fox Television Stations, Frank Cicha, stated:

“It’s become increasingly more difficult, if not impossible, to launch obscure product on broadcast TV. Suits is arguably the most buzzworthy scripted series of the last half-decade, and MyNet looks forward to amplifying its success by introducing it to the broadcast television audience. We’re discussing some fun ways to do just that.”

The series first premiered on USA Network in 2011 and aired nine seasons until September 2019. In 2023, a non-exclusive deal was signed with Netflix, allowing it to stream the first eight seasons of Suits, while all nine seasons were available to stream on NBCUniversal’s Peacock.

The fact that the show racked up tens of billions of viewing minutes led creator Aaron Korsh to revitalize the Suits universe with a Suits L.A. spinoff. Even BBC acquired the rights to all the seasons of the series to stream it on BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom earlier this year.

When does Suits leave Netflix?

Suits has been licensed to stay on the streamer from June 1, 2023, to July 1, 2025. Suits Season 9 is currently licensed to Amazon Prime Video. But once that license expires, the final season is also expected to be added to Netflix, and all seasons of the series could get an extended run on the streaming giant beyond July 1, 2025.
