Tina Fey to Star in The Four Seasons Series Adaptation for Netflix

Tina Fey is set to star in a series adaptation of the classic Alan Alda romantic comedy film The Four Seasons for Netflix. According to a report from Variety, Fey is also credited with being the co-creator of the series alongside Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, who have worked together previously on the hit NBC series 30 Rock. It will be Fey’s first starring role in a television series since 30 Rock as well.

The trio will also executive produce the series, which has reportedly received an eight-episode order from Netflix. Production on the series is set to begin later this year.

What is The Four Seasons about?

The original film was released in 1981 and starred Carol Burnett, Len Cariou, Sandy Dennis, Rita Moreno, Jack Weston, and Bess Armstrong. The film told the story of three upper-middle-class married couples in New York City who take vacations with each other during each of the seasons.

Prior to The Four Seasons adaptation, Fey has worked with Netflix in the past, specifically on the series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which she co-created. Fey was also a star on the animated series Mulligan and is an executive producer on the series Girls5Eva, which is still ongoing.
