Welcome to Wrexham Season 2 Release Date Set

On Friday, FX announced that Season 2 of Welcome to Wrexham, a docuseries starring Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney, and their soccer team, Wrexham A.F.C., premieres September 12.

In February 2021, Reynolds and McElhenney purchased Wrexham A.F.C., a struggling Welsh soccer team playing in the National League, the fifth tier of English football. The docuseries explores the rich tradition of Wrexham, the third oldest professional football club, and its passionate fanbase as Reynolds and McElhenney attempt to restore the team to prominence.

What to Expect in Welcome to Wrexham Season 2?

Reynolds and McElhenney headline Welcome to Wrexham as the series documents their roles as owners of the Welsh soccer team. Season 2 will follow the 2022-2023 season, highlighted by a thrilling victory in the league championship to earn a promotion to the fourth tier of English football.

Consisting of 18 episodes, Season 1 became a breakout hit for FX, receiving six nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.

Season 1 is available to stream on Hulu in the U.S. Season 2 will premiere on FX and stream the next day on Hulu. Season 2 will launch on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories at a later time.
